Dora Papatheochari is a researcher and adjunct lecturer at the Department of Planning and Regional Development-University of Thessaly
(Greece) that has been the responsible partner for community building and transferring activities for the Sustainable Tourism project, a horizontal project integrating the results of a Community of projects.
She has been a member of the Laboratory of Environment and Spatial Planning that has been engaged in issues such as the environmental dimension of spatial planning, the relationship of environmental policy with city planning and spatial planning, planning for human and natural ecosystems generally, and specifically such as integrated coastal area management, integrated river basin management, sustainable tourism development, integrated development in insular
areas, sustainable development and planning at the national, Mediterranean and European levels. She has also worked in Greek and European research projects with a focus on integrated coastal zone management, urban, cultural, tourism and (maritime) spatial planning with a special interest in the Mediterranean.
