Since 2017 I work for UNIMED – Mediterranean Universities Union as senior project and communication manager for Sustainable Tourism and Urban Transports projects, funded in the framework of the Interreg MED Programme.
With a solid professional experience in journalism, media analysis as well as institutional communication, I realize an organization’s information and knowledge survey, upon which I can develop the most appropriate and sustainable content strategy to engage differ target-audiences. Very fond of new technologies and innovative digital narratives, I can wisely integrate data visualizations, infographics, and illustrations into a wider strategy, at the same time I can monitor and evaluate their impacts.
Trilingual -English, French and Italian- I have extensively worked for European Media, Universities and NGOs across Europe and the Middle East and I have lived in London, Paris, Rome, Damascus and Doha. With a solid academic background in Mediterranean political, social and economic interactions I manage international projects and multicultural teams.

The Interreg Euro-MED Academy

Introduction: Mr. Ermete Mariani, Academy Coordinator and Instructional Designer, UNIMED - Mediterranean Universities UnionThe Interreg Euro-MED Academy is the result of the spontaneous collaboration between the eight Thematic Communities and PANORAMED with the support of the Interreg MED Programme’s Joint Secretariat and the coordination of UNIMED – Mediterranean Universities Union as communication lead partner of Sustainable Tourism and Urban Transports Communities.
In this framework, the Sustainable Tourism has recently launched a learning program “#04 Sustainable Tourism and Mobility for the Mediterranean” jointly developed with the Urban Transports community. This program will provide an understanding from theory and real practice of what sustainable tourism is, what challenges destinations sustainability, also deepening on overtourism concept, how destinations are addressing it nowadays, or how they are anticipating to it. Besides, it will also present traditional and innovative practices to ensure sustainable mobility in tourism destinations.
