Dr. Nika Razpotnik Visković is geographer, working as a researcher at the Anton Melik Geographical Institute ZRC SAZU in Slovenia. She obtained her PhD in 2012 at the University of Ljubljana. In her research work she is focusing primarily on the sustainable tourism, with the special emphasis on the rural tourism, the gastronomy tourism and the sustainability certification in tourism.
She is also coordinator of two Interreg MED projects: MEDFEST – MED Culinary heritage experiences: how to create sustainable tourist destinations (2016-2019) and LABELSCAPE – Integration of sustainability labels into Mediterranean tourism policies(on-going). In the latter she is cooperating with Slovenian Tourist Board.
She is member of the editorial board of the scientific journal Acta geographica Slovenica and a member of the Supervisory board of the Slovenian Regional Development Fund.
